Die Velux Stiftung präsentierte im Januar die Gewinner des zweiten Tageslicht-Wettbewerbes im S AM Swiss Archiutecture Museum in Basel. Gewinner des Awards 2010 ist die Therme Vals von Peter Zumthor in Vals, Schweiz. Weitere Preise gingen an James Turrell für die Ski-Unterkunft Piz Uter in Zuoz und an Isa Stürm und Urs Wolf für das Kunz(Zeug)Haus in Rapperswil. The presentation was realized in collaboration with the Department of Architecture of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (DARDEN ETH), Zürich and the S AM Swiss Architecture Museum. Winner of the Daylight-Award 2010 is the Therme Vals of Peter Zumthor in Vals, Switzerland. Two honorary awards go to James Turrell for his Skyspace Piz Uter in Zuoz and to Isa Stürm Urs Wolf Architects for the Kunst(Zeug)Haus in Rapperswil, both in Switzerland. Master of Light: Peter Zumthor
Peter Zumthor ist ein Meister im Umgang mit Licht und Architektur. Zur Zeit läuft im Kunsthaus Bregenz (Architekt: Peter Zumthor) eine große Retrospektive seines Werkes. Im Sommer wurde Kolumba, das Kunstmuseum des Erzbistum Köln, als jüngstes Werk von Zumthor eröffnet.Das Kunsthaus Bregenz ist ein Leuchturm der Lichtkunst. Zumtobel gehört zu den Sponsoren des Hauses. Einige Luminale-Teilnehmer wie Siegrun Appelt haben dort in den letzten Jahren ausgestellt.Peter Zumthor is a master in lighting and architecture. At the moment runs in the Kunsthaus Bregenz (architect: Peter Zumthor) a big retrospective of his work. In summer the Kolumba, the art museum of the archbishopric of Cologne, as the youngest work of Zumthor was opened. The Kunsthaus Bregenz is a Light house of the light art. Zumtobel belongs to the sponsors of the house. Some Luminale participants like Siegrun Appelt have exhibited there during the last years.
