Das Reichstagsgebäude in Berlin erstrahlt zum 60-jährigen Bestehen der Bundesrepublik in neuem Licht. Bei einem Fest schaltete Bundestagspräsident Norbert Lammert die Fassadenbeleuchtung mit einem symbolischen Knopfdruck ein. Die aus hunderten Leuchten bestehende Illumination soll den Parlamentssitz künftig jeden Abend in warmes, weißes Licht tauchen und Facetten wie Skulpturen und Fensterbögen hervorheben. Das Konzept des Hamburger Künstlers Michael Batz war nach einem Wettbewerb ausgewählt worden.
