In exponierter Hafen-und Uferlage zwischen A 661 Offenbach-Kaiserlei und dem Mainufer Offenbach wird der historische Kohlekran am EVO-Heizkraftwerk nachts neu in Szene gesetzt. Die LED-basierten Illuminationen betonen die Konstruktion, zeichnen sie nach oder lassen sie im nächtlichen Kontext verschwimmen. Die in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Fachbereich Produktgestaltung der HfG Offenbach entstandenen Illuminationen werden im Rahmen der Luminale eröffnet und fortan nächtlich erstrahlen.
In an exposed dock and riverbank venue between the A 661 Offenbach-Kaiserlei motorway and the Main riverbank in Offenbach the historical coal crane at the EVO power station will be set in a new scene. The LED-based illuminations emphasise the construction, retrace it or blur it in the nocturnal context. These illuminations in cooperation with the product design course of the HfG Offenbach will be opened for Luminale and then continue to shine at night.

In einer Multimediashow werden 12 jahreszeitlich inspirierte Bilder auf die Kirchenfenster projiziert. Kirche, Glauben und weltliches Alltagsleben beeinflussen einander. Die bewusste Wahrnehmung dieser Wechselwirkung über die Kirchenfenster ist die Botschaft der Installation.
In a multi-media show 12 seasonally inspired pictures are projected onto the church windows. Church, belief and worldly everyday life affect each other. The conscious perception through the church windows of this reciprocal effect is the message of this installation.

In einer Großprojektion im Innenhof wird historisches Bildmaterial aus den Archiven der Heyne Fabrik und Filmmaterial aus den Zeiten der Industrialisierung gezeigt. Ein Composing aus Einzelbildern und Bewegtbild bringt eine Momentaufnahme aus der industriellen Vergangenheit in die Gegenwart.In a large-scale projection in the courtyard historic picture material from the archives of the Heyne factory will be shown. The film material documents the era of industrialisation. A composition of individual pictures and moving pictures brings a snapshot in time from the industrial past into the present. -

Im Luminale Infozentrum für Offenbach findet der Besucher den Luminale-Gesamtkatalog zur Mitnahme. Dazu gibt es den Luminale-Offenbach-Stadtplan, auf dem alle Projekte eingezeichnet und beschrieben sind sowie Projektinfos der einzelnen Veranstalter. Das Infozentrum bietet Orientierungsmöglichkeiten und ist ein geeigneter Treffpunkt und Ausgangspunkt für Touren. In the Luminale Info Centre for Offenbach visitors can pick up the Luminale catalogue. There is also the Luminale Offenbach map with all projects marked in with project information on each organizer. The Info Centre offers orientation and is a suitable meeting point and starting point for tours. -

In der Sky Lobby der DZ BANK realisierte James Turrell 1998 seine bis dato komplexeste Lichtinstallation. Vier Elemente des Raums, das Panoramafenster, die Türen, die Wet-Bar und die Back-Bar, stehen im ständigen Neon-Lichtwechsel, wodurch der Besucher eine meditative Atmosphäre erfährt. Diese Turrell-Exkursion gehört inzwischen zu den unverzichtbaren Klassikern des Luminale-Programms. In the Sky Lobby of the DZ BANK James Turrell 1998 realised his most complex light installation to date. Four elements of the room, the panorama window, the doors, the wet bar and the back bar are in constantly changing neon light, whereby the visitor experiences a meditative atmosphere. This Turrell excursion has become one of the essential classics of the Luminale programme. -

Karl Kliem entwickelt unter dem Namen „Dienststelle“ minimal-abstrakte Visualisierungen für Musiker aus dem Bereich der elektronischen Musik. Die Licht- und Sound-Installation „Minus 60°“ synchronisiert sechs kreisförmig im Raum aufgestellte Lautsprecher und Leuchtstoffröhren. Karl Kliem has developed a minimalist abstract visualisation for musicians from the electronic music scene called „Dienststelle“. The light and sound installation „Minus 60°“ synchronises six loudspeakers and fluorescent tubes standing in a circle. -
