    Frankfurt am Main. Das Light Lab von Olafur Eliasson, das zur Luminale 06 startete und nach der Luminale 08 erlöschen sollte, bleibt erhalten. In den zwei Jahren ist es zu einem Wahrzeichen der Kunsthalle Portikus und der Stadt am Main geworden. Mit der Unterstützung der Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen konnte das Museum für Moderne Kunst das Lichtkunstwerk erwerben. Siteco hatte die Arbeit von Eliasson ermöglicht. Mehr>

    Frankfurt. The Light Lab of Olafur Eliasson which started to the Luminale 06 and should go out after the Luminale 08 is preserved. During two years it has become a landmark of the arts center Portikus and the town at the Main.     Frankfurt am Main. Zur Luminale 06 startete Olafur Eliasson die viel beachtete „light lab“ Serie, die den Neuanfang der Kunsthalle Portikus im neuen Haus auch im nächtlichen Stadtbild markierte. Zur Luminale 08 bereitet Eliasson den letzten Szenenwechsel vor. Das Projekt wurde von SITECO gesponsert. MehrFrankfurt/Main. During Luminale 06 Olafur Eliasson starts the high notable „light lab“ series and marks the new start of the Kunsthalle Portikus in the new house also in the nightscape of Frankfurt.   • Last days open: ‚Ben van Berkel & the Theatre of Immanence‘

    copyberkel.jpgThe group exhibition ‚Ben van Berkel & the Theatre of immanence‘ is currently taking place at Portikus, in Frankfurt am Main and will run until Jan 13th 2008. The installation titled ‚The Thing‘ consists of an advanced, site specific structure designed by Ben van Berkel, together with Prof. Johan Bettum and Luis Etchegorry and houses a series of works by artists and architects who have participated in the one-year long experimental project, entitled ‚The Space of Communication‘, a project by the Städelschule Architecture Class. The exhibition aims to present the artistic and architectural results of this project to the public. Common to all the projects is that they address the social and inter-relational aspects of communication or spaces of communication. The built structure inside the Portikus is illuminated by multiple, precisely matched digital projections that both enhance and obscure the physical objects, adding information and disinformation, atmosphere and detail, playing on topics of presence, absence, body, and volume.
