    Bild 3 Anfang Januar wurde in Dubai das mit Abstand höchste Gebäude der Welt feierlich eröffnet. Der 828 Meter hohe, neu in Burj Khalifa umbenannte, Turm hat mehr als 160 Etagen. Bei gutem Wetter ist der Wolkenkratzer, der zwischen Meer und Wüste in den Himmel ragt, aus fast 100 Kilometern Entfernung zu erkennen. Für die beeindruckende Eröffnungsveranstaltung lieferte spacecannon, ein Unternehmen der Marke Zumtobel, die spektakuläre Lichtinszenierung.
