Die ‘gallery without images‘ wurde als Lichtinstallation für den Außenraum entwickelt. Die Lichtrahmen in der nächtlichen Landschaft sind Leerstellen, Durchblicke oder Platzhalter für die Assoziationen der Betrachter und ermöglichen den sie umgebenden Raum neu zu erfahren. Die Lichtrahmen werden zum Ausdruck von ‘idealen Formen‘, wie sie der Mensch zu schaffen versucht. Der konstruktive und rationale Geist, in Form von Geometrie und künstlichem Licht, steht in einem auch symbolisch zu verstehenden Spannungsverhältnis zur organischen Natur. The ‘gallery without images‘ was developed as an outdoor light installation. The light frames in the nocturnal landscape are space bars, insights or empty spaces for the viewers‘ associations and enable us to re-experience the space around us. The light frames are expressions of the ideal forms man tries to create. The constructive and rational mind, represented by geometry and artificial light, in a symbolically conflicting relationship to organic nature.

Die temporäre Lichtinstallation ‘Hustle & Bustle‘ versucht die Dynamik des Gebäudes als ein mechanisches Treiben zu visualisieren und rückt gleichzeitig dynamisches Licht selbst in den Mittelpunkt. Das Gebäude als laufendes Getriebe versinnbildlicht sowohl die immanenten Abläufe im Geschäftsbetrieb einer Firma, als auch den gebautem Raum als übergeordnetes strukturelles Element. Eine Installation zum Ineinander von Architektur, Maschine und menschlichem Leben.The temporary light installation ‘Hustle & Bustle‘ attempts to visualise the dynamics of the building as a mechanical process and simultaneously focuses on dynamic light. The building as a running process symbolises both the immanent steps in the procedures of a business and the constructed space as a super-ordinated structural element. An installation about the intertwining of architecture, machines and human life. -

Die Lichtinstallation ‘Stars & Stripes‘ wird den Gebäudekomplex Skylight (Architekt: Richard Rogers) längerfristig bespielen. Die Fassade, als simplifiziertes Abbild des nächtlichen Horizontes, zeigt aktuelle Sternenbilder der jeweiligen Jahreszeit. Angesichts der aktuellen Debatte zur Lichtverschmutzung des Nachthimmels versteht sich die Installation zwar als paradoxer Beitrag, doch gleichwohl auch als gestalterisches Mittel, die Wahrnehmung des Kosmos zu schärfen und um eine weitere Dimension zu bereichern.
The lighting installation ‘Stars & Stripes‘ will illuminate the Skylight building complex (Architect: Richard Rogers) longterm. The facade, as a simplified image of the nighttime skyline will show current seasonal constellations. In view of the current debate on light contamination of the night sky the installation is a paradoxical contribution but nevertheless an artistic means to sharpen our perception of the cosmos and to add a new dimension.
