Mit dem 1. September 2009 beginnt die Auslaufphase für die Glühbirne. Das Edison-Zeitalter geht allmählich zu Ende. Wie sinnvoll die Abschaffung der Glühbirne wirklich ist, bleibt höchst umstritten. Das Verbot ist in jedem Fall so wirksam wie die autofreien Sonntage in der Ölkrise der 70er Jahre: Ein Eingriff in den Alltag, der allen Bürgern klar macht, dass Energieeffizienz das Gebot der Stunde ist.
