CALL FOR FACADES. digital slaves writes: Digital Illusions gives life to facades, in between architecture and real time motion graphics we redefine urban spaces to create dreams and illusions. Using pre-existent architectural elements or creating new ones,we transform the city by putting it on stage, we give it movement. the technique we have developed allows us to mask precisely chosen architectural elements (windows, doorS…) and then decide to project into these elements or around them. Lambert Kamps wrote: The project that I like to submit is a screen of light emitting roof tiles on the roof of a house. The normal tiles of the building will be replaced by light emitting tiles. Every light emitting tile is a pixel of the screen. The screen will show an animated movie of the artist Eva Knutz. We have worked together on this project before but ran out of time and did not finish it. The Luminale 2008 is a good opportunity to pick it up and show it to the public. To realise this project we need a roof in Frankfurt. The roof must be easy to see by the public. It is also possible to build a small temporary building somewhere in the city, but than we need a place where we can do that. Download of the pdf-file here |
