A luminous jewel during the day, a light carpet at night. This is the concept for the annexe of the world-famous art museum at the Main. The Frankfurt architects office Schneider + Schumacher wins the competition to the extension of the Städel. This week the competition was decided. Schneider + Schumacher have taken part in some projects of Luminale. Maybe they can hand over the new building to the general public next Luminale in 2010.
